Traditional Music Camp

The Lao Heritage Foundation will be holding beginning music classes in kaen and saw. They are open to students in the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Saw students must be at least 6 years old and Kaen students must be at least 10 years old. We are anticipating one children's class and one adult class per instrument. Classes will take place in the central Rainier Valley. Space is limited and is on a first come first served basis, so please register early! Classes will be every day for 1 hour from Saturday, Aug 25 through Monday, Sept 3. Follow-up classes will be held weekly via video conferencing, as well as in-person instruction once monthly until summer 2008.

Students are expected to pay a one-time tuition of $100, which includes their musical instrument of choice to keep, related equipment and lessons/materials, and food/snacks for each session.
